First Aid/CPR/Lifeguard/Water Safety INSTRUCTOR

Swim Coach Coral Springs Swim Club Senior 1

Performance Training Partner

Behavior Mgt. Spl.

Calvin was introduced to "Resistance/Rotational Stretching" during  spring-training as a (Soph.) competing in  football/track at Eastern NM University.  The results were immediate and enduring as the Coach, Mike Lucas, stated they would be; 'everyone will be faster, stronger, quicker, more flexible, and we will have less injuries.'  This came after a Coach had stated months prior that; ' Calvin... you are fast, but would be so much "faster if you would relax". The word "relax" should have been replaced with "Resistance Stretch",  Because "Resistance Stretching," is what produced the 'relaxation, lengthening, strengthening, purging of lactic acid, and flexibility, that was lacking, to help Calvin and his team-mates attain to a higher level of skill, and to further their climb toward peak physical conditioning/

potential, with a lowered risk of injury. After completion of his competitive years at university; Calvin used the experience he had gained from incorporating  what was then a some what 'Static/Growing' "Resistance Stretching" modality, to stretch and train the athletes he coached in Track/Field, Swimming, and Performance training, to enhance/reach their performance potential for the next 20 years.  Upon arriving at the Coral Springs Aquatics Complex and interning with the Coral Springs Swim Club, Calvin was incidentally introduced to the highly refined "Ki-Hara" method of  "Resistance / Rotational Stretching, Strengthening, and Mashing."  Then formally introduced to it by (Miss) ANNE TIERNEY, and (Doc.) STEVE SIERRA.     He has used this method solo, and in tandem with (LISA CALLAHAN / SETH HORNADAY / HEATHER BRYANT ) on Elite Athletes: -  (9) Olympic / (2) Pan Am swimmers, (2) US Olympic Trials (swim) qualifiers, (3) Ironman Tri-Athletes, Bodybuilders, Elite Personal Trainers, Pro Tennis players, Marathoners, Pro Golfers, and Senior/Junior Nat'l (Individual Record Holder '09) Swimmers. Included in the array of athletes would be a U19 Nat'l Soccer team participant,  (2) Masters Swimming Nat'l Qualifiers (Relay World Record '09)('10),  Regional Tri participants,  (3) Nat'l (top ten) Synchronized Swimmers, PRINCETON Swim/Dive team, AUSTRIAN Nat'l Tri team, GERMAN-VFLGLADBECK Swim team, Water Polo players, Executives, a Physician, as well as: - Moms, Dads, Sons, Daughters, and Grandparents. Some of whom were not  actively competing, but had fitness goals or chronic pain/injuries, of

which "Resistance Stretching/Training and Mashing" was used to help them achieve very positive results.  Some of whom you will see listed, or in photos on this website.
