Tommy Powers Level IV (403) 305-7871 |
Level 4 Trainer NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Tommy Powers has developed a unique skill set from being a client of Steve Sierra and Anne Tierney and then studying the technique from them to become a certified trainer. After seeing and feeling the results of Ki-Hara through his hockey career he knew that he wanted to be able to share it with his clients.
Tommy believes that the human body is designed to move dynamically, and the goal of the nervous system is to co-ordinate a variety of joints and muscle groups working together synchronisticly to produce movement. This is the essence of athletic performance. Building an athlete is all about creating movement efficiency within natural dynamic movements. Resistance stretching can help anyone feel healthier, move around with strength and ease, improve posture and live pain free. It also can allow you to achieve a lean, natural, athletic looking body.
From professional athletes to disciplines from a wide range of amateur sports, everyone has seen immediate improvements in their strength, flexibility, and in their ability to perform at higher levels previously thought impossible. Others have recovered from nagging injuries that impede their sport or athleticism, including some senior athletes who, for the first time in years, were able to compete again, due to the strengthening, stretching, and mashing of Ki-Hara.
Tommy has always been an active athlete in the sport of ice hockey and has competed at the NCAA Division I level as well as performed in tryouts with professional teams. He is currently a strength and conditioning coach and will soon be offering private sessions of Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching at the state of the art Duckett Performance Centre in Calgary.
