Trainings are open to people of all levels and professions - and the only pre-requisite is an interest!
Innovative Body Solutions is an approved provider of The Meridian Flexibility System and Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training Certifications through Bob Cooley and The Meridian Flexibility Center. Trainings are open to people of all levels and professions - and the only pre-requisite is an interest! Steve Sierra and Anne Tierney have been teaching Bob Cooley´s Meridian Flexibility System (MFS ®) [Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training (RFST ®); Resistance Stretching ®] Certification Programs since October 2005. There are 2 main Levels plus Continuing Education Credits (CEC) to become a Certified Meridian Flexibility Trainer and they are done in sets of 2 (i.e. Programs 1 and 2 make up Level I, 3 and 4 are Level II). Each Program is 7 hours and both are typically done on the weekends - back to back. There is typically 1 to 1.5 months between 'sets' of programs; so it would take someone approximately 6-9 months to be certified in the Meridian Flexibility System. After passing Level I (Progams 1 and 2) the trainer is then able to teach classes and conduct private sessions. Trainings are open to people of all levels and professions - and the only pre-requisite is an interest! Level I Course (Programs 1 and 2) - Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training is approved by NASM (Nationally Academy of Sports Medicine) for 1.4 CEUs (continuing education units) and by ISSA (International Sports and Sciences Association) for 12 credits. They have worked with many different people from extremely diverse backgrounds: from pilates instructors to chefs to business (wo)men to personal trainers. They teach levels I and II and Bob Cooley and The Meridian Flexibility Center teach the CEC classes and certify all trainers. Certifications are currently held across the country. If you are interested in hosting a training in your city, please contact Anne (minimum of 10 people required). To read more about Level I (Programs 1 and 2), please download this outline. Note: All certifications have a 48 hour cancellation policy. |
