A friend called me with terrible pain she said started when she took off her sweater and tweaked her neck getting if over her head! It's lasted 2+ days I asked her some questions and wanted help diagnosing and suggesting some stretches. By following the meridians on the back of the arm/neck, I thought Small Intestine, Skin and also LI, and Thymus. Any other ideas!?? I reccommended massage and heat as well to relax the tension in the muscles.
Thanks!
Location of pain: pain shoots from behind right shoulder blade into back of shoulder and upper back on right side
Type of pain: feels like pulled muscle, sharpens with certain movements of right arm
Limitations: can't turn head to right, for the first day, couldn't raise right arm without pain, now day two, she has more mobility with her right arm, but still has pain at certain range of motions. Pain intensifies when her arm is pulled (i.e. walking her dog) or when she moves her head to the right.
Hope everyone is well!
